He is a top breeder from a special mating arranged between two friends in the Pigeon Sport in the autumn of 1997. Gaby Vandenabeele, the Belgium Champion and Ad Schaerlaeckens the famous Dutch journalist and ranked as one of the top racing men in the world. Ad Schaerlaeckens No 1 hen and mother of his loft "Sissi" who is considered to be the best breeding hen of all Holland (she was bred by Gaby Vandenabeele directly from "Picanol" in 1988) was loaned back to Gaby Vandenabeele to pair to his well respected "Wittenbuik" who is considered to be the best breeding cock in all Belgium.
"Blue Diamond" is responsible for many top winners in Britain, Europe and the Far East. A fancier from Taiwan bought two daughters from him and one of them bred his winner of a Taiwanese boat race winning US$250,000. The same fancier returned and bought "Blue Diamond" in late 2003 for a large sum of money.
